Shipping internationally can feel complex, but with Savo Store you have a reliable partner. To get the best experience, it’s important to understand how our services work and what steps you can take to ensure smooth, stress-free shipping. By following our guidelines and procedures, you can avoid common issues and ensure smoother shipping. This article is designed to help you understand what to expect from Savo Store and how to set yourself up for the best experience possible.

1. Choose the Right Service

  • Shipping Only: You purchase your items directly from the seller's online store in the U.S., and we handle shipping to Kenya. With this option, you maintain a direct relationship with your seller. You can track your purchases from their warehouse in the U.S. to our U.S. warehouse. You are responsible for paying the seller directly and resolving any product issues with them.

  • Buy & Ship: We purchase items on your behalf and ship them to Kenya. With this option, Savo Store manages the buying process end-to-end, including dealing with the U.S. seller. This is helpful if the seller does not accept your payment method, or if you prefer us to manage the purchase process for you.

πŸ’‘ Always confirm which service you are using, as timelines, processes, and responsibilities differ significantly.

2. Understand Delivery Timelines

  • Air Freight: 7–15 business days (fastest, best for urgent or lightweight shipments).

  • Ocean Freight: 75–120 days from departure (best for bulky or high-volume shipments).

  • πŸ’‘ To avoid disappointment, plan your purchase and shipment with these timelines in mind. Please note: Savo Store will only notify you of a delay if we anticipate that the final day of the promised delivery window will be exceeded.

3. Our U.S. Warehouse Addresses

  • For Shipping Only orders, always use the exact name from your Savo Store account when providing the shipping address to your vendor. This ensures we can correctly match your packages when they arrive at our U.S. warehouse.

  • Copy and paste the full address from your Savo Store dashboard instead of typing it manually, and make sure to include the suite number or letter as this is a critical part of ensuring your packages are delivered to our US warehouses successfully.

πŸ’‘ Correctly entering our U.S. warehouse address when placing an order with a seller is essential to prevent misdeliveries or lost packages.

4. Do you want Consolidation?

Consolidation is only offered at our California warehouse. We refer to our consolidation service as Verification & Consolidation (V&C)

  • California Warehouse: Supports both Ship Individually and Verification & Consolidation. You can consolidate up to 10 packages per shipment here.

  • Oregon Warehouse: Supports Ship Individually only. Verification & Consolidation is not available.

Your Options

  • Ship Individually: Each package is dispatched as soon as it arrives, moving on the next available shipment to Kenya. This is best for one-off or urgent orders where speed matters. Delivery timelines remain 7–15 business days for air freight and 75–120 days for ocean freight. The advantage is speed β€” your packages depart quickly after arriving at our U.S. warehouse. This is available at both the California and Oregon warehouses.

  • Verify & Consolidate: We open, inspect, and combine multiple packages into fewer boxes to reduce your overall shipping cost. This option is ideal if you want us to:

  1. Perform basic content checks of your packages, or

  2. Consolidate your items into the fewest boxes possible to lower freight charges.

While this may add 1–2 extra processing days, it often results in meaningful savings. Available only at the California warehouse.

πŸ’‘ If you want Verification and/or Consolidation of multiple packages, use our California warehouse only.

5. Payments

Once you receive your shipping invoice, please pay it promptly. Payment is required before your order can be shipped, and settling your invoice quickly helps avoid delays in receiving your items.

At our fulfillment centers, we are constantly working to create space for the next incoming shipment. Because of this, priority is always given to complete orders β€” shipments with a zero balance. These orders require less processing, so they can move out of the warehouse faster and make room for new arrivals.

πŸ’‘ Orders that arrive at our Nairobi warehouse with full payment already made will be prioritized for collection or doorstep delivery.
