At Savo Store, we empower you to easily manage how your shipments are handled. You have the flexibility to automatically instruct us on whether to consolidate your packages or to have them shipped to you individually as they arrive at our US warehouse.

What Is Package Consolidation?

Package consolidation is the process of combining multiple packages into fewer, more compact boxes before shipping. This may reduce the volumetric weight of the overall shipment, making it more cost-effective and easier to handle. At Savo Store, consolidation is carried out by experienced warehouse staff using the original vendor boxes, with a limit of up to 10 packages per consolidated shipment.

Why Use Consolidation?

  • Lower Shipping Cost: By reducing the number of boxes and eliminating unnecessary space, your overall volumetric weight is reduced.

  • Better Handling: Having fewer packages makes the shipment easier to manage during transit.

  • Environmentally Friendly: Less packaging means a smaller carbon footprint.

How it works

To have your Shipping Only packages consolidated, select the Verify & Consolidate processing option when creating your order in your Savo Store account. Our experienced logistics team will then safely consolidate and repack your goods into the fewest number of packages possible. Here is how it works:

  • You can consolidate up to 10 packages per shipment

  • We use the original boxes your items arrive in for consolidation

  • We do not stock new boxes at our US warehouse for this purpose

  • If a vendor uses an excessively large box for one of your items, we will consolidate all other items in your order into that box

  • Our primary goal is to use a single box or as few boxes as possible for your final shipment

Note: The Oregon warehouse does not support consolidation. If you require item verification and consolidation, please use our California warehouse.

All Buy & Ship orders are automatically consolidated during processing at our U.S. warehouse. No additional action is required from the customer to enable this feature.

How We Ensure Safe and Rule-Compliant Consolidation

We cannot randomly combine all your items into one box. There are airline rules and safety protocols that must be followed. During the consolidation process, we consider several factors, including:

  • The fragility of each item

  • The size and components of your products

  • Carrier regulations that require certain kinds of goods to be separated from general goods

This careful approach ensures that your packages comply with airline rules and arrive in excellent condition.

Limitations of Our Consolidation Services

While we strive to provide flexible and efficient consolidation options, there are certain limitations to our process to ensure accuracy and compliance:

We cannot Consolidate Separate Savo Store Orders

We are unable to consolidate items from two separate orders on your Savo Store account. Consolidation can only be performed on items within a single Savo Store order. If you want items consolidated, ensure they are all within the same order.

Consolidation of Different Service Types

We cannot consolidate items from Buy & Ship orders with those from Shipping Only orders. These two services are managed separately to ensure proper handling, tracking, and compliance with our operational procedures.

These policies are in place to maintain accuracy, streamline processes, and prevent any potential delays or issues during transit.

Sustainability and Repackaging

At Savo Store, we’re committed to sustainability. We prioritize the recycling and reuse of packaging materials, particularly boxes, to minimize waste. By repurposing boxes whenever possible, we not only help reduce our carbon footprint but also pass cost savings directly to you.

Our commitment to sustainability does not compromise the safety of your shipments. Each recycled or reused box is carefully inspected to ensure it meets the highest standards for secure packaging. If an order arrives at our warehouse in a torn or damaged box, we automatically repack it into a suitable replacement. This guarantees your items are protected during transit and arrive in excellent condition.
