At Savo Store, we are constantly working to improve our services and enhance your shipping experience. To make your experience with us better, we are implementing some key changes at our US warehouse. These changes are designed to reduce delays, improve order processing, and ensure your packages reach you as quickly as possible.
Below, we explain what these changes mean, why they are necessary, and how they will impact you.
Change #1: Faster Processing for Orders with Missing Packages
Who Does This Change Affect?
This change only applies to Shipping Only orders in which the order processing method selected is Verify & Consolidate (V&C).
What’s Changing?
Previously, if a single package within your order could not be located within the usual processing time, we would hold the entire order at our US warehouse until the package was located. This sometimes led to long delays, with the whole order sitting in the US warehouse for quite some time.
Going forward, if a package cannot be located at the time of processing, we will spend up to 48 hours troubleshooting its whereabouts or any tracking number discrepancies. If it is not found within that time, we will ship the available packages to you immediately. Once the missing package is located, it will be added to your invoice and shipped separately.
Why This Change Is Needed
Many customers have told us they would rather receive all available packages first, rather than waiting indefinitely for one missing package.
Shipping the available packages first allows us to minimize delays and ensure you receive the majority of your order as quickly as possible.
How This Impacts You
If one of your packages cannot be located during the time of processing, you will receive the rest of your order without unnecessary delays.
Our team will notify you about any missing package and provide tracking information when it is shipped separately.
Change #2: We will ship packages without order numbers to Kenya every two weeks
Who Does This Change Affect?
This change affects all packages arriving at our US warehouse without a corresponding order in our system.
What’s Changing?
If a package arrives at our US warehouse without an order in our system, and no order is created while it is at our US warehouse, it will be shipped separately and cannot be consolidated with other packages.
Sometimes, packages arrive at our US warehouse without a corresponding order in our system. This occurs when you ship a package to our US address but haven’t yet created an order for it or added its tracking number to an existing order. As a result, these packages can remain in our warehouse for weeks or even months.
Additionally, some packages may have tracking number discrepancies, where the seller provides you with a specific tracking number, but the package arrives at our US warehouse with a different one. This can prevent the package from matching the order you created for it in your Savo Store account. Such packages can also end up sitting at our US warehouse until when the discrepancy is resolved. This can take a long time in some instances.
To fix this, we will now ship all small to medium-sized packages without a corresponding order in our system by air freight every two weeks. These packages will then be processed and invoiced by our Nairobi warehouse and delivered to you.
Why This Change Is Needed
Packages without order numbers have been causing delays for both customers and our logistics team.
Regularly shipping these packages ensures that any packages without order numbers reach Nairobi sooner, where they can be processed and matched to their owners faster.
How This Impacts You
If you send a package to our US warehouse without creating an order for it, it will be shipped by itself and cannot be consolidated with other packages at our US warehouse.
If you have a package with a tracking number discrepancy, it will reach you faster because it will no longer be held at our US warehouse until the issue is resolved. Instead, it will be shipped to Nairobi sooner, allowing you to receive it within a day once the discrepancy is cleared.
What You Can Do to enhance your experience with Savo Store
To ensure your packages are processed smoothly, we kindly ask you to:
Always create an order in our system before your package arrives at our US warehouse.
Double-check that the tracking number you entered into your order is correct.
If you place a large order with a vendor such as Amazon, they will often ship your items in multiple packages. Ensure that you have entered all tracking numbers into your Savo Store account.
These improvements are designed to serve you better by reducing shipping delays and ensuring that packages get to you as soon as possible. We appreciate your support and understanding as we implement these changes.
