Overview

When using Savo Store’s Shipping Only service, your package goes through several stages — from arrival at our US warehouse to delivery in Kenya. This article explains what each status means and what (if anything) you should do.

Order Status Definitions

The statuses below are listed in the general order they occur in the Shipping Only order lifecycle. While not all orders go through every step (e.g., cancelled orders may exit early), this sequence reflects the typical customer journey from order creation to delivery.

1. Shipped to Warehouse

  • Meaning: This status is triggered when you create a new order in your account. It assumes your seller has shipped the item and it is currently en route to the Savo Store US warehouse.

  • Action Needed: None — we’ll notify you once it arrives.

2. Ready to Ship

  • Meaning: The package is about to be processed and shipped to Kenya.

  • Action Needed: No action needed unless you wish to update delivery instructions.

3. Invoiced & Shipped

  • Meaning: Your invoice has been generated and your package has left the US warehouse.

  • Action Needed: Check your invoice for accuracy and complete the payment to proceed with delivery.

4. Payment Received

  • Meaning: We have received your payment.

  • Action Needed: None.

5. Order Arrived

  • Meaning: Your shipment has reached our Kenya warehouse and is ready for pick up, or delivery to your doorstep.

  • Action Needed: If you selected pickup, you can now collect your package from the Kenya warehouse. If you chose delivery, please ensure that you or someone is available to receive it.

6. Dispatched for Local Delivery

  • Meaning: Your package is on its way from the Kenya warehouse to your chosen address.

  • Action Needed: Ensure someone is present at the delivery location to receive the package.

7. Order Delivered

  • Meaning: Your package has been successfully delivered.

  • Action Needed: None.

8. Order Cancelled

  • Meaning: Your order was cancelled due to one of several common reasons: payment was not completed, the package never arrived at our U.S. warehouse, you requested cancellation, or a processing issue occurred during handling.

  • Action Needed: Contact support if you’re unsure why.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q. What if my status hasn’t changed in a while?
A. Some statuses may take longer due to shipping schedules or consolidation. If you’re unsure, reach out to support.

Q. Can I change my shipping preferences mid-process?
A. You can make changes while your status is Shipped to Warehouse or Ready to Ship. After that, it may be too late to adjust.

Q. Why does my order say 'Shipped to Warehouse' immediately after I create it?

A. This status appears as soon as you create a new order in your dashboard. It assumes your seller or the sender has shipped the item and that it is on the way to our US warehouse, even if we haven’t received it yet.

Q. Do I need to notify you when my package arrives at the US warehouse?
A. No. Once your package is received and scanned, we will update the status on your order and notify you automatically.

Q. Will I get notified when my invoice is ready?
A. Absolutely. Once your package is packed and labeled, we’ll send you an email with your invoice. You will also be able to view the invoice in your Savo Store account.

Q. Can I track my shipment while it's in transit?
A. Yes. While we currently provide milestone-based updates rather than real-time tracking, we’re actively working on introducing a live tracking system soon.

Q. My order is marked 'Shipped to Warehouse,' but it’s been days — what should I do?
A. If your order remains in this status for more than 5 business days, it may be due to a shipping delay from your seller, the package not yet arriving at our US warehouse, or a delay in our system updating the status. Please confirm that your tracking number is correct, then contact us for assistance.

Q. What happens if I don’t pay the invoice on time?
A. Unpaid shipments may be held at our warehouse and risk cancellation if not resolved within 14 days.
