Important: This article applies to Shipping Only orders. For Buy & Ship orders, Savo Store is responsible for ensuring that your package is received safely and delivered to you securely.

When courier companies deliver packages to our U.S. warehouse, they usually arrive in bulk—often a hundred or more at a time. Because of this, we follow a clear process to ensure that every package is properly recorded, and prepared for onward shipping to Kenya. The steps below explain what happens when your package reaches us.

How Packages Travel Before Arriving at Our Warehouse

Before your package reaches Savo Store’s U.S. warehouse, it usually passes through several fulfillment centers (such as the seller’s warehouse, courier hubs, and regional sorting facilities).

Because of this, issues such as damaged packaging or missing items can sometimes occur before your package arrives at our warehouse.

  • If we notice any visible problems during our processing stage, we will notify you.

  • Our warehouse team does not control what happens before your package is delivered to us, but we will always alert you to any easily detectable anomalies.

  • You will need to contact the sender or courier directly to report any anomalies communicated to you.

Status Update: Received

When your package is delivered to our U.S. warehouse:

  • If you created an order in your Savo Store account, the package will be logged under your account.

  • The status of the package will be updated to “Received.”

  • You will also receive an email confirmation.

At this stage:

  • The package is safely shelved in our warehouse.

  • It has not yet been opened for inspection of contents.

Inspection & Verification During Processing

We are legally required to screen and inspect every package shipping through our warehouses. This inspection does not happen at the time of arrival. It happens during processing for onward shipping.

The verification process depends on the option you selected:

  • Ship Individually: We will open and inspect the contents when preparing the package for shipping to Kenya.

  • Verify & Consolidate: We will open, inspect, and verify the package contents at the time of consolidation, and combine them with your other items.

Any anomalies detected at this stage will be communicated to you.
