This article applies only to our Shipping Only service.
If a package arrives at our US warehouse and no order has been created in your Savo Store account, it will be classified as an Unassigned Package.
What is an Unassigned Package?
An Unassigned Package means:
The package physically arrived at our warehouse
But no matching order or tracking number exists in our system
Because our system cannot link the package to an existing order in your account, the package cannot be processed through the normal shipment workflow. It therefore remains at our warehouse as an unassigned package.
💡 If your package arrives at our warehouse before you have added it to an order, please create the order or add the tracking number to an existing order in your Savo Store account as soon as possible.
How We Handle Unassigned Packages
Our US warehouse will not notify you about unassigned packages. This allows our warehouse team to focus its resources on receiving, verifying, and processing packages that already have matching orders in the system.
Unassigned Package Shipping Schedule
To prevent unassigned packages from remaining in the warehouse for long periods, all unassigned packages are automatically shipped to Kenya by air freight every two weeks.
How this works:
The package will be shipped separately and cannot be consolidated with other packages.
The package will then be processed and invoiced by our Nairobi warehouse and delivered to you.
This process ensures that unassigned packages are still delivered rather than remaining unprocessed at the origin warehouse.
How to Avoid Unassigned Packages
We recommend creating an order in your Savo Store account immediately after you receive the tracking number from the seller or sender of the package.
To ensure your package is properly processed:
Create an order in your Savo Store account as soon as you receive the tracking number.
Add every package shipping to our warehouse to an order before it arrives at the warehouse.
Verify that the tracking number is correct and matches the number provided by the seller or sender.
Following these steps ensures that your package is correctly received, verified, and shipped out to you in a timely manner.
FAQ
Q: What if I forgot to create an order?
A: If the package arrives without an order, it will be treated as an unassigned package and shipped separately by air freight.
Q: Can unassigned packages be consolidated later?
A: No. Once a package is classified as unassigned and processed for shipment, it cannot be consolidated with other packages.
Q: Will I be notified when an unassigned package arrives?
A: No. The US warehouse does not notify customers about unassigned packages, which is why creating orders in advance is required.
