Air Shipping Costs
For air freight, we charge $18 per kilogram, calculated based on the chargeable weight—the higher of the actual weight or the volumetric weight of your package. The higher amount is known as the chargeable weight. This rate includes customs clearance, so there are no surprise charges when your package arrives in Kenya.
The minimum air freight charge depends on the warehouse location:
California: $25 minimum
Oregon: $45 minimum

How to Calculate Air Shipping Charges
Air freight is billed by the higher of actual weight or volumetric weight.
Step 1: Determine actual weight
Actual weight must always be in kilograms. If the weight is given in pounds, convert it to kilograms by dividing the pounds by 2.20462.
Step 2: Calculate volumetric weight
Volumetric weight must always be in kilograms.
Volumetric weight (kg) = (L × W × H in inches) divided by 366
Step 3: Determine Chargeable weight
Chargeable weight = the higher of actual weight or volumetric weight
Step 4: Multiply by the air rate
Air cost = Chargeable weight × $18
The minimum charge will apply based on the warehouse location.

Ocean Shipping Costs
Our ocean freight rate is $30 per cubic foot (CBF), with a minimum charge applied depending on warehouse location:
California: $90 minimum
Oregon: $150 minimum
This rate includes customs clearance, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free delivery process. Ocean shipping is ideal for larger or bulkier shipments, providing a cost-effective solution for heavier items. Ocean shipping charges are based on the cubic footage of your shipment, which is determined solely by its dimensions.

How to Calculate Ocean Shipping Charges
Step 1: Measure the package to identify its length (L), Width (W), and Height (H) in inches. Ocean freight uses dimensions only; weight is not necessary.
Step 2: Calculate cubic feet
Cubic feet = (L × W × H in inches) divided by 1,728
Step 3: Multiply by the ocean rate
Ocean cost = cubic feet × $30

Shipment Protection - 4% of Declared Value
You value your goods and so do we. Shipment Protection provides an added financial safeguard for your goods in the event of a covered loss or damage during transit.
Shipment Protection is required on all Shipping Only orders.
Rate: 4% of the declared shipment value
Minimum charge: $4.00 per shipment
Provides coverage while your goods are on transit from our U.S. warehouse to Kenya
Coverage does not apply to incidents occurring before your goods arrive at our U.S. warehouse
This fee does not apply to Buy & Ship orders. Buy & Ship orders include Shipment Protection at no additional cost.

Verify & Consolidate Storage Fee - $5 per Order (optional)
Need consolidation? Shipping Only orders using our Verify & Consolidate (V&C) processing method are charged a flat $5.00 storage fee per order.
Fee: $5.00 per order
Whether your order contains 2 packages or 10 packages, the storage fee remains $5.00 total for that entire order.
Applies only to orders requiring item verification and consolidation.

After your shipment arrives in Kenya, You can either pick it up from our pick up point in Nairobi, or we can deliver it to you using our Next-Day Door Delivery service.
Next-Day Door Delivery fees are charged based on chargeable weight, which is the higher of your shipment’s actual weight or volumetric weight.
